Calling Original Thinkers. Help us illuminate your research project for environmental and social impacts.
Original Pursuit provides seed grants, in the form of short documentaries (5-15 min), to advance innovative research projects that promise constructive environmental, social, and governance impacts on the quality of life. To apply or nominate a colleague, Original Pursuit asks that you:
1. Help the Selection Committee assess your research idea by providing a 2-3 page synopsis that explains your institutional affiliation, what you study, why it will generate new knowledge, and how this new knowledge will constructively impact the environment and society, locally and more broadly.
2. Artists, musicians, and inventors may submit a short 2-3 min video abstract introducing yourself, your team, and the societal problem you hope to resolve with your creative enterprise.

Original Pursuit will showcase your work with interested sponsors in a best effort to help solve challenging problems facing society and our planet in the next generation. You are the problem solvers. We salute you.

b) Rising threats to public lands and waters
(c) Addressing the struggle for identity and autonomy of the underserved
d) Where to champion artists and inventors to improve world conditions
e) Innovative solutions to safe shared energy
f) Creating human-centered platforms for emergent technology, AI, and quantum computing.
g) Food insecurity, farm science, innovative solutions to agricultural problems that improve food supply
